Prime Minister Stephen Harper today appointed Rob as Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada.

Under his new portfolio, Rob will continue to push forward the Government’s anti-crime legislation to ensure Canada’s streets and communities are safer for Canadians.

During Canada’s New Government’s first year in office, Rob served as Leader of the Government in the House of Commons and Minister for Democratic Reform.
